An Aberdeen survey between nearly 140 enterprises showed that S&OP has helped a majority of companies to improve forecast accuracy and cross-departmental communication. But most companies have failed to see improvements in profit-related metrics like gross margin and customer retention. Traditional S&OP processes are no longer sufficient, S&OP has evolved to become Integrated Business Planning.
